The latest....grief but mostly joy.

I have not updated the blog for awhile so I am about to bombard you all with lots of post. Hope you can take it all in!! 

Well here is the latest of the news from the KC Appelbaums.  We found out in September that we will be expecting a baby!! This is of course joyous news!! Mia will be a big sister in May of 2011.  But when we finally got to visit the doctor to confirm the pregnancy. We got some bitter sweet news as well.  The sonogram showed two babies.  And I new when they were doing it that something was different.  I knew in my heart there were multiple babies in there.  But while we are still expecting the arrival of a wonderful baby in May we are also grieving for a life that could have been.  Our second twin left this world at about 8 weeks gestation.  That little baby simply quit growing and her/she's little heart quit beating.  So we will never meet this sweet babe.  But we know the baby is in God's arms as it should be.  And we have a sonogram picture of our little babies together so we will always have that momento.  But we do of course greive as parents....of a baby we will never hold.  So of course...yes this pregnancy thus far has been bitter sweet. 

But we will always love this baby we will never know and we of course are already in love with the one we expect to hold in our arms in a few months.  May 25th will be here before we know it.  Hope you are all ready for Baby #2 because we can't wait.
