Mia's adventures at 8 weeks old

Time flys when you're having fun!

Mia has surpassed the 8 week mark last Friday. She is growing and changing so fast! Her new hobbies including hanging out on her new baby gym, going to the park with Mommy, searching for fire flies with Daddy and watching Cardinals baseball (now that the US is out of the World Cup she has more time for this).
We also have been visting Grandma and Grandpa Bateman about once a week.

Things the Mia tried for the first time the past few days are swimming and sitting in a bumbo seat
(her neck is getting so strong).
The swimming took place and Grandma and Grandpa Appelbaum's house in St. Louis. Daddy got in the pool with her and she got to swim with Aunt Sarah and cousins Isabelle and Benjamin as well.

This past weekend was the annual Christmas in June Family Reunion in St. Louis for Grandma Appelbaum's family. At the reunion she met her Uncle John and Aunt Nora for the first time. She also got to meet lots and lots of cousins, including two Madelines and a Mia. At the reunion she got a few gifts. The family reunion always has little gifts for the children. Mia got a little elf doll. She also received a new bear, outfit and sun hat from her Uncle Howard, Aunt Susan and Cousins Abby and Henry. She really liked wearing the sun hat already. It was quite warm and sunny at the reunion so it came in really handy. She also certainly enjoyed hanging out with her cousin Abby at the reunion. Abby is very fond of little Mia and quite good with her.

While in St. Louis we stayed and Aunt Lisa's house. She really likes Aunt Lisa's house because she gets to look at deer and birds out the large windows and she got to sit with Aunt Lisa on her front porch in a big white rocking chair. She also likes to stare at the ceiling fan in Aunt Lisa's house....it makes her smile.
