Autumn is rolling in (as is Mia) & Mia is now 5 months!

Above are our attempts at 5 month photos. She is becoming very entertaining...and busy!

Mia is so loved. <3

Mia turned 5 months old on September 30th! We have been majorly busy lately it seems! We have had date night, a wedding, colds, an ear infection and on top of all of this our little 5 month old has also been keeping us busy with all her new skills! I am sure we have not seen anything yet!! But it's all worth it.

Keeping Us Busy and Entertained

There are three new things going on with Miss Mia lately that are keeping us all busy!
First off Mia is now becoming mobile! Yes, she is rolling all over the place.

Also, we started cereal right at around 5 months. Basically I think she is getting more on the bib then what she swallows but she is doing better every day.

The third thing is that Mia is becoming a little chatter box! All of a sudden one day she fought off a late afternoon nap and was up for 4 hours before she went right to sleep at bedtime. Never once got cranky except for the 45 minutes when I was trying to get her to nap because she had been us sooo long. All the while she was chattering up a storm!! It was humerous! Like someone gave her coffee or something! (Don't worry I did not, nor had I even drank any that day). Ever since then we have been hearing alot of da da, ba ba, ma ma, etc. It is so very cute! Wish I could speak baby some days!

A Busy & Fun Start to the Fall Season.....

Even though fall has only just begun, we have already done quite a bit this season!
The three of us went to the Louisburg Cider Mill's Cider Festival recently. There we drank yummy cider (well the 2 of us of course) and ate apple cider doughnuts (umm....a few of them). Mia got to hang out with some pumpkins and see and smell the first glimpes of fall (both of our favorite seasons).

Another St Louis Adventure

We drove to St. Louis last weekend for a wedding and family reunion (well applebutter making with lots of family). The trip across Missouri went really well. Apparently Mia does not like to sleep in the car any more. But even with only sleeping 30 minutes in the car she never once really got crankly and we only had to stop one time!

Aaron and Maggie Dorsman's Wedding

Maggie and Aaron (friends of ours) were married on October 2nd. The wedding was at a beautiful Catholic church and the reception was equally lovely.

Dan was a groomsman in the wedding. Aaron and Dan have been good friends for several years and they were roommates and college and beyond.

Mia seemed to have fun at the wedding. She got to hang out with Jiffy (friend) and she babbled all through the ceremony. In fact she started talking so loud that we had to go to the mothers room because we were too distracting! All in all she did pretty well at the wedding since she was overdue for a nap.

Below are some photos from the reception. It was a lot of fun as well! Lots of dancing and catching up with our St. Louis friends.

Between the wedding and reception myself and Mia went to the annual Applebutter making festivities at Aunt Lois and Uncle Dave's house. Since Dan was a member of the wedding party he was obligated to go take photos with the bride and groom and to party on a party bus.

Mia's first Applebutter

This would be Mia's first Applebutter. Fortunatley she took a nap in the car on the way from the ceremony to the Applebutter gathering. So she was full of giggles and smiles for all the family that was happy to see her there. When I was ready to leave. Mia finally had a enough and was really hard to calm down. Poor thing! She was so done. She went home with Grandma and Grandpa Appelbaum while Mom and Dad enjoyed the wedding reception.

Between Weddings and Reunions Mia spent a lot of time giggling with her cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The photo below shows Ben giggling. Don't be fooled though because Ben really knows how to make little Mia giggle and he had her giggling several times!
