On the third weekend of October our good friends Tracey and Jiffy (Jeff) were married at the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis. It was really a gorgeous Autumn Day. The Ceremony was held in the Rose Garden and the roses were really quite beautiful for an October wedding. As the bride made her way down the long aisle (through the Rose Garden) we heard gorgeous music played by Jiffy's cousin, who is a talented musician.
At the end of the ceremony it was so neat to see the bride and groom take their first walk as husband and wife, through the beautiful garden.
Dan was a groomsman in the Wedding. Dan and Jiffy have been good friends since about their Sophmore year in college. I have been friends with Jiffy for about that long as well. Pictured below with Dan is Joe, who is a mutual friend from college and was also a groomsman in the wedding.
Mia and I really enjoyed the wedding. She was not fussy like the last wedding we were at. I think it was because it was outdoors (she loves to be outdoors).
After the ceremony Dan went on a party bus with the wedding party. Sounds like they had a blast and even stopped by Ted Drewes (frozen custard) before the reception.
The reception was held at Sunset Lakes Golf Club in Sunset Hills (suburb of St. Louis). It was a good time. Dan even did quite a bit of dancing (not usually his style). We of course did not bring Mia. Grandma Appelbaum got to babysit the poor overly tired child. Mia apparently did not want to go to bed.
