Mia at 4 Months
*Can now roll from front to back and back to front. However, she is not as good at rolling from her tummy to her back so she gets stuck on her tummy a lot. Was driving us crazy when we put her to bed for a few nights. But the newness of the skill must be wearing off because she is not constantly rolling to her tummy like she was at first.
*Is very close to sitting up on her own. At least she is close to tripod sitting I should say.
So this weekend we are going to get out the high chair for her to start sitting in. We have not started solid foods with her yet but will probably do this in just a few weeks but for now it will be nice to get her used to the high chair.
What she's been up to
*Lots of park time lately. It has been so incredibly nice out lately that we have been to the park several times a week for the last few weeks. We even tried out the baby swing recently. She loves to be outside. She is generally a happy baby but outside she just seems so calm and in her realm.
*Playing with what ever object happens to be near by. We have learned that we now have to watch out for objects near her. Guess it is time to start baby proofing some things.
*One of the funnest things lately is going in to get her in the morning and seeing where she is in the crib in relation to where we put her down. We can even her some of this flopping around in the middle of the night. We put her to bed in a halo sleep sack and she still ends up doing gymnastics!
*We have spent time with family. We have made several day time lunch dates with Aunt Sheryl (Starbucks or her house) lately so I think she is really getting to know her. We also try to go to Grandma and Grandpa Bateman's at least once a week. It is so fun to see her with them.*Anxiety toward strangers. Just the last week or so Mia has definitley started to look to us for reactions when it comes to other people. Just yesterday we were at the neighbors house and the neighbor wanted to hold her. She held her for all of a minute and Mia took one look at her face and realized it was not one of us and started crying. She definitley knows who her Mommy and Daddy are now.
