On the road again for day 2 of our car trip headed east. This time we did not have as far to drive. We arrived just outside Columiba, SC around midday. We had a great time visiting the Moores. We spent the day getting to know the neighborhood including a walk down the dock (they have a lake near by) and then a swim in the pool next to their house.

Mia wasn't sure what to think of sand at first.
Since Mia seemed iffy about the sand and we headed east to Myrtle Beach the next day....we were wondering how she would do at the real beach. But Mia is a big fan of water. She would stay in the tub all day if we would allow her to. So she did have a good time playing in the pool. I think Dan might have had more fun than anyone. He bought a new waterproof camera just before our trip and was eager to test it out. Fortunatley Alexa was eager to help.

Alexa got this shot of Dan underwater with his new camera. Great job Alexa!

Mia and her "borrowed" big sis-Alexa. You can tell she is a big sis because she was so good with Mia.

Annie and Millie in their water gear. They had fun at the pool too.
We left the pool as the girls were getting hungry for dinner and poor Millie hit her head and got a "booboo" (she turned out fine). Steve and Beth paired up to make a yummy dinner. Mia had a great time playing with all the girls toys. And they do have a great playroom. But soon it was time for bed, and for the grownups to have some time to just chill.
So in appropriate southern style after the little ones went to bed, the four of us enjoyed a relaxing time on the front porch of the Moores house. We drank a glass of wine and talked. Good times had by all.
The next day Steve left for work and the rest of us ate a little breakfast and then headed to the Zoo. The
Riverbanks Zoo is in nearby Columbia. It was a really nice zoo and very easy to walk the entire Zoo and see everything and not have to spend an entire day. The girls were big fans of the Koala Bear and the Aquarium. The Zoo also features an area where you can feed tropical birds. Alexa seemed to have a great time feeding the birds.

We left the Zoo after a bit and headed over to visit the Moore's new property! Can't wait to see the house that will be built on it eventually.
We had a great time visting the Moore family! We miss you! If you are reading this--THANK YOU for everything!!
So while the little Moores took mid-day naps our little threesome visited a little and then loaded up the car for our main destination---Myrtle Beach, SC.
We LOVED having you here! Mia is a doll! And its always nice to have friends visit us. We'll have to plan to do it again sometime. Thank you, for coming to visit us!
